Via the Huffington Post: (I Sometimes Don’t Want to Be White Either)
[Rachel Dolezal] is an extreme example of a common phenomenon. The “immersion” stage is typified by White people taking more responsibility for racism and privilege and often experiencing high levels of anger and embarrassment for racism and privilege, which they sometimes direct towards other Whites. They sometimes try to immerse themselves in communities of color, as Dolezal did. She’s not alone.
I definitely experienced this. There was a time in my 20s when everything I learned about the history of racism made me hate myself, my Whiteness, my ancestors… and my descendants. I remember deciding that I couldn’t have biological children because I didn’t want to propagate my privilege biologically.
Given how the horrible affects of her white privilege is weighing her down perhaps she should seek the advice of a mental health professional as soon as possible.
If she acts quickly she may have a chance.
Otherwise liberalism will continue to rot at her brain until it’s too late!
First of all, racism exists everywhere and with all races... The Arabs consider all other races inferior, specially blacks (some countries even practice slavery to this day). As for blacks, I suggest to this writer that she drives alone in Harlem or in a black neighborhood in Chicago, and find out for herself the realities of her arguments that been white means one is racist.
This is a perfect example of liberal snowflakes been so self absorbed that they have no idea that "they" are the problem. As long as they continue on this path of grouping people into their own little twisted world, they are actually the cause of racism.
Some will take her arguments and take it to heart to accuse and blame those of other races for their own misgivings.
"Hey, he or she is white so let's hate them, because she said so"
In return, those who use said arguments promote hatred towards themselves...
So only whites are born racists?
Go to an African city, I'm sure there is racial harmony there and no one who is Asian or White is ever attacked because of their race...
The point is, most people in this world don't have time to deal with such divisive issues, (unless one is a liberal snowflake),
Sure there is racism, always will, but who is the real racist, those who don't like you because of your color, or those who promote the division, or both? Equally?
The idea of; "I don't like myself because I'm white" instead of "who gives a sh*t about color" directs the argument on our differences because of color and isn't that racist in itself?
As for white privilege, did it ever existed? Or is it those in power who have made it so, without the normal man and woman on the streets trying to make ends meet, ever adopting it into their own life.
Throughout history, the elite, the kings, queens, barons, dictators and the idiots who follow them, have used it to cause problems and wars of conquests. This argument belongs with them.
As for the rest of us, who cares what color you are, we have bills to pay, families to feed and house, things are hard enough already without adopting such useless idiotic divisive B.S anyway.
