Forget your troubles...the Russians are coming. Imperial power or republic?

The gap between the rich and the poor continues to grow. Train and bus fares continue to rise. Twice as many people are living in poverty than 30 years ago. And our National Health Service is being privatized before our very eyes.
But hey - we must forget about all those things - because there’s something far more important to worry about. The Russians are coming!
That “sinister tyrant” Vladimir Putin, doesn’t’ just threaten the Ukraine and the Baltic States but even poses a “threat” to the whole world!
This simply must be true, because the claims are being made by prominent members of the political and media establishment - you know the same bunch who in 2003 told us Iraq had WMDs, who in 2011 told us that toppling Gaddafi was a great idea, and who in 2013 wanted us to bomb Syria and topple a secular government that was fighting ISIS.

Personally I always thought of propaganda as one of the most dangerous tool against freedoms... And the main stream media is up to their necks in this sh*t...
Whether here in Canada or anywhere else in the west, ctv, cbc, glogal, cnn, abc, nbc, cbs, bbc, when they talk about Russia or Putin, where is the opposing views and opinion??? There is "NEVER" anyone from the other side, the commentators are always from the government or work for them...
Now don't get me wrong, I don't take their side, but it would be interesting to know what they think about all this.
So, instead of getting the info from our side, those of us who want to know the truth have to go to RT, or some other web site that offers some kind of explanation to what is really going on...
If RT is so bad like our media and elitist claim, why did Larry King leave cnn and is now there???
When I was watching RT's crosstalk I noticed most of the commentators are from...the west, mainly england and america...
Then watch our media...see what propaganda looks like.

I wondered what would happen if the tables where turned and the Warsaw pact would have won the cold war, western Europe in economic decline and their military in shambles.
Would we in north America, as Russia is doing, do everything possible, to prevent them from advancing even further to our borders?
What if Canada or Mexico decided to drop their economic alliance with the failing west and turned to the warsaw pact. Would America just sit there and accept them on their borders or do everything possible to prevent it?
Of course they would and who could blame them...
So why are we surprised when Russia is doing everything possible to prevent NATO from getting even closer to their borders...
Why not accept that this is a bad idea, claim Ukraine as neutral and promise them we will never accept them into NATO...that's all the Russians want.
The western elitist seems to want a war with Russia, even the western media as of late, hint that Putin is responsible for the murder of the opposition leader, which is b*llshit since in reality this guy was not very popular (between 5 to 10% in the polls) and offered no threat to the government...so who really killed this guy?
Actually, what you never hear from the western media is, the actual opposition in Russia is the communist party.
Blaming the government in this case is pure anti Russian propaganda, made to rile up the population against bad ol'putin. (Which the smart ones are starting to realise)
Isn't it interesting, now that the ceasefire in Ukraine is holding, then this happens calling to further impose sanctions on Russia...
Russian Opposition: Putin Did NOT Assassinate Opposition Leader Boris Nemtsov
Itina Khakamada, a top ally of Nemtsov in the opposition said the killing was “clearly not in Putin’s interest. It’s aimed at rocking the situation.”

What has changed other than technology for the past 2000 years, we still have empires like Rome, we still advance ourselves through wars, and take what is not ours to increase Imperial power.
The elite, just like Rome have now declare themselves demi-gods who impose their will through fear, pass laws that take freedoms away and reinforces their positions, try to control their population, and bath in riches which belong to the people...
We are at the last stages of where Rome was. when they changed from the freedoms of the republic and senate rule to imperial or dictatorship...
Greed and immorality set in, and the more that went on, the more people did not want to defend this system, though the elite had their supporters as we have today, there where enough who where disgusted by this greed and immoral behaviour by their so called leaders to slowly degrade the empire...and the rest is history...
Again...What has changed in 2000 years?
We have been at war with the middle east provinces of the empire since august 1990, the first gulf war, we have been bombing the crap out of that area for 25 frigging years, and we wonder why organisations like islamic state, alqaida, al nusra and all the other exists??? Or b*tch  and wonder why they don't like us...
HELLO!!!
Wouldn't we do the same if the table where reverse???
If we are the new Roman empire, then let's declare it and take it all the way to it's inevitable fall, which is where all empires end up.
Or, let's take back our republics with all it's considerations and run with the idea that mistakes where made, admit aggressive imperialistic war is destructive, turn back the clock and instead of giving our world to those who made the same mistake 2000 years ago, agree that a republic minded people and it's governments is a hell of a lot more desirable for the future than what history shows is an extremely bad idea...
When empires fall, poverty and eventually civil war follows, after Rome came the dark ages, or simply look at what happened after the soviet union...
Do we want to go through that? Or put our kids through it...
Let's face fact for a minute, our economies in the west are not exactly running on stability...
So...it's a republic or an empire and it's inevitable fall...
A republic shows what we have and others can aspire too, an empire takes what is not their and creates more and more enemies...
The choice is ours...
Speak up....
