The best secure messaging apps that protect you from surveillance

If you use Skype, SnapChat, Facebook chat, WhatsApp, or Google off-the-record chat, then it’s time for you to rethink your digital communications strategy and switch to other more secure messaging programs that better protect your privacy. The EFF evaluated 39 messaging products and provided a Secure Messaging Scorecard to show which ones are easy to use yet secure enough to keep the government from snooping on your messages.

From what we know now, and the paranoid behaviour of governments, encryption is not such a bad idea...of course if you think people have no right to privacy, this isn't for you...There was a time when we protected our private lives as been an extension of our freedoms and free will, whereas we where willing to fight for it, even die to defend it, but times have changed, governments scare the bejesus out of so many with their Armageddon messages, that fear is preventing many to see what is really going on....
For them, life is controlled for security, even forfeiting part of their freedoms, but for the rest of us...
NO THANK YOU.
We now know, web search sites, social media, email programs, so on, fully co-operate with intelligence agencies ( now there's contradiction in terms), which would be like them opening letters at the post office during the last generation, they would not have accepted this, so question is...why is this one?
What we do with our lives is our own responsibility, it is an important part of passing down the democratic society our grandparents left us, if we give up this responsibility to others out of fear, then we have no right to...bitch about it....
Freedoms depend on the individual, not the hive mentality, when we listen to each other, respect our individual thoughts we can come up with better results than following the wolf to his lair in order to keep us safe from other wolves...
Then again, I believe in the importances of each and every human life, that they have a place in the circle of life...
And that to some would be call radical thinking nowadays...
