The real face of Stephen Harper and his supporters. Why he refuses to have an inquiry on missing aboriginal people.

Stephen Harper is “the most vindictive politician I’ve ever met, someone who I think is ruthless to the bottom”

Harper Cons have “lied, cheated, stole elections, cancelled other people’s rights, and in the process crushed a lot of people”

“Harper runs the most secretive government that ever existed in Canada. [According to Richard Nixon], if the Office of the Presidency does it, it’s not wrong. Harper wraps himself in the flag and he wraps himself in the office. But he isn’t worthy of the office. And he’s proven it time after time by lying to us about things, and in a democracy you can’t run a democracy on lies…. If we stand up and we do something about it we can stop this man. But if we sit back and count all the reasons why we can’t do a thing, that steamroller that Stephen Harper has rolled over the institutions of this country will continue to flatten everything in its path. And I for one don’t want to live like a rabbit. I don’t think you do either.”Michael Harris, Canadian investigative reporter

In a scathing, no-holds-barred attack, investigative journalist Michael Harris unveils the real Prime Minster Harper lurking behind the nice-guy facade.
Here’s just one sample of Harris’ candid revelations –
Nova Scotia Tory MP, Bill Casey, discovered that Harper had unilaterally changed the text of an agreement that he, Harper, had signed with Atlantic Canada. Casey consulted the Justice Department about the change. Justice confirmed Casey’s understanding of the change. He put the Justice’s opinion on Harper’s desk. Harper swept the document off his desk and said, “Bill, the fucking words mean what I say they mean….You know your fucking problem, you’ve never been with the program.” Casey phoned his wife, told her what had happened and she told him not to vote for the agreement. The next day Casey was kicked out of caucus. He subsequently resigned, ran as an independent and won despite Harper’s best attempt to spread malicious lies about him during the election campaign.

1/ The In and Out Scandal — In 2006 there was a financial scam going on called the “In and Out Scandal”. It may have won the election. What it actually amounted to was the Conservatives were able to spend a million extra dollars in the last week of the campaign, when it was crucial. And that was a close election decided by less than 7,000 votes. The Tories fought the charge of violating election spending rules. Four senior officers of the Conservative party faced criminal charges in 2011. One of those charged, Senator Irving Gerstein, was not yet a senator but he was a senior Conservative. So while charged and under investigation by Elections Canada, Harper appointed Gerstein to the Senate. He did that to give him [Gerstein] cover. There was a plea bargain on the charge so that the personal charges against those four officers were dropped and the Party had to pay a fine of more than $200,000.

2/ Dean Del Mastro scandal — In 2008, the cheating continued on exactly the same issue which was spending more than they were allowed to spend. This time it was Dean Del Mastro. He was the person who was going to check out the ethics of other people on robocalls. Dean wrote himself a $21,000 cheque and got himself elected in Peterborough. Now he’s convicted on four counts of fraud and he’s gone. While he was under investigation, Harper kept him as his Parliamentary secretary, which shows you what kind of ethical standard is being set here.

3/ Peter Panashue scandal — Panashue, Labrador MP, also spent $30,000 more than he was supposed to, and had to resign from cabinet.

4/ 2011 robocalls scandal — remains the great unsolved crime of our politics. One person has been convicted. Michael Sona was 22 when this happened. Robocalls were made in 230 ridings, but we get a low-level 22 year old operative in Peterborough as the only person who pays the price. And the witnesses against him were all supplied by the Conservative Party. But you would never have known that it you watched the trial because Arthur Hamilton, the Conservative Party lawyer, didn’t appear as a witness, which almost makes it a travesty of justice, since Arthur Hamilton not only produced all the witnesses, he also gave them their stories and worked with them in actual interviews with investigators from Elections Canada. He sat in on the interviews and offered prompting to people who were offering details that they had read about in the newspapers. Michael Sona said to me yesterday “I could have gotten a lighter sentence if I had shown remorse at the sentencing, but I didn’t do this and I’m not going to admit to it.”
It’s going to take the same effort to fight back against these people who lied, cheated, stole elections, cancelled other people’s rights, and in the process crushed a lot of people.

5/ Harper hides in the closet – Harper hid in the closet during the so-called “terrorist” attack on Parliament Hill. A week later he ordered Putin out of the Ukraine. That’s a little less than a warrior PM. He apologized to his caucus for hiding in the closet.

What is the reason why Harper will not call an inquiry about missing aboriginal people?
He doesn't follow a simple rule to protect and represent all Canadians, but only those who bow at his feet...unless your ready to declare him the king of all politicians and kiss his ass, your up shits creek without a paddle...
He his the worse of all bad politicians, saying he cares about all Canadian is like declaring people like stalin were angels sent by the gods...
His refusal to have an inquiry is well though out, his supporters don't want it and considers it a unimportant issue....his reason for been P.M. is power and it will be interesting to see how loud he'll scream when he looses the next election.
He scrapped the agreement Paul Martin made for the first nations of Canada, this points to some sort of racism on the part of those who believe keeping first nation poor and destitute is a political advantage...
In the meantime, because of his inaction, more die, through suicide, violence and poverty....
But who cares right? We are just Indians....

We see his true colors when we read the post above, you either follow and praise him or your thrown out the window...
As a traditional woman of the Nations, I consider myself like others before me the protectors of the next generation, we all have a place in the circle of life, were all equal in the face of the Great Spirit, we have to look after each other, men, women and the elders, no matter what color we are, all have a place to ensure a peaceful and productive future for our children...to forget this is to fail...
Harper and people who bow at his feet put us back to when they use to kneel at the feet of humans (kings and queens) who declared themselves rulers with the power of life and death over others by the grace of the gods... this has never and never will exist in a rational society...
I don't agree with everything Trudeau represent but I do know this, with him we will have a better representation of all Canadians than the ones we have now...
An inquiry is necessary, for all colors on how and why so many die at the hands of violence and poverty, the truth and who is responsible must answer for what they did and still do...
Especially those who still give starlight tours simply because they think they can get away with it....
Maybe that's what they are afraid of, the truth coming out....
I am not or ever will be a feminist, I don't put women above men, children or Elders, we need to speak with one voice. The disturbing part to all this is feminists use this issue of missing aboriginal women for personal power. As everyone who is traditional knows, we women have a special place in society, respected by men, we must live up to those responsibility and any native woman who claims to be a feminist has forgotten her place in that circle and sold out her sacred position to a foreign belief; that we must place blame on one group in order to power another...and that is plainly stupid and will never achieve the desired results.
Such a policy of division prevents us to advance as we can see with the lack of caring for those who died at the hands of violence...if we did speak with one voice, imagine what we could do....

Heres a question, how come the AFN doesnt have an inquiry of their own, maybe it would shame the media and the government to take action?

"how come the AFN doesn't have an inquiry of their own". Because they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them?

We need new leadership a new system of representation, some who will not put their own privileges ahead of the people.
