Criminalization of Children. They learn what we as adults teach them.

There are many good points this video makes;
Schools have become indoctrination centers, people who have political ideals and do not recognize students as children...
Police officers who are told the only way for advancement is to have as many arrest as possible, under that policy, he explains that good cops who try to do the right thing for the moment when kids are involved are pretty well prevented from doing so if they want to go up into the ranks...
Under these circumstances, kids have no chance to learn when they are treated like criminals at every turn...
Giving a chance to a kid who has behaved badly instead of charging him or her shows patience and they learn by the action of others, as adults this is what we "have" to do...if we treat them like criminals, they will learn that path and that does not bode well for the future of any society...

In the past, teaching kids through role models whether one was a cop or teacher was very important, it was seen as a learning experience when a cop would give you a speech on your bad behaviour, he would give you a chance but if he would find out you did it again, he would put you in jail over night with real nasty criminals, and that would scare the bejesus out of the kid...

There is no benefit in instant punishment for kids who do wrong things, it simply shows them there is no tolerance, no patience, and that's what they learn.
He also makes a convincing argument on why kids do drugs, because it's not a happy time for them and look at drugs as a way out of the pressure put on them by those who use them for their own benefits.

Some will say we are living in the past, no were not, this is the way it is supposed to work, kids are not bad in general, they are in the process of learning through the behaviour of adults, and if adults behave badly, kids will imitate that. If we show them impatience and intolerance, that's what they take with them as adults...how is that living in the past?

The western world with all it's pushy commercialism, and it's refusal to treat kids as kids, has lost  it's way, there was a time when the state understood it's survival and future as a stable society depended on the traditional family and it's children...
Unfortunately, those who do represent the state these days seem to have forgotten that very important point.
And today's parent is not without sin either....
If your nice Ill buy you an xbox or an xbox game is not the way to keep kids quiet and happy....
Showing them and understanding they "want" to learn is....
