CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - Officials say a woman who claimed she was pulled over and sexually assaulted by a man impersonating a police officer fabricated the story.

According to M.W. Beickert with the Currituck County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called by the victim along Route 158 in Barco April 4.

At the time, she was found laying on the ground next to the passenger door side of her car. She told deputies a man driving a white midsize car with a blue light in the front window had pulled her over. She said the man asked her to step out of her car, punched her in the face, then sexually assaulted her.

The woman was treated for her injuries at Albemarle Hospital.

Beickert said early on in the investigation, information on social media led deputies to believe there were inconsistencies in the woman's story.

Tuesday, the woman admitted the entire report was false and the injuries she had were self-inflicted.

Charges have not been filed.

So, where do these women get the idea to do this???? Simple!

The more messages such as those is prevalent in our society, the more it will be seen as a way to demonize, lie, and be seen as a way to use it as revenge by some who have no respect even for themselves. By all means not all women are the same and most think of this behaviour as despicable, but as long as there is no balance and messages of hate flow out there freely, we have seen what the results have been throughout history...it is used by the weak minded to make them feel good.
